CASA provides services to families impacted by domestic violence. Their reach in the community has helped thousands of families and definently saves lives. The staff is the most committed group of people I've had the pleasure of working with and dedication to social change is truly making a difference in our community!
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... Seeing the change in participants once they become part of the "CASA Family"- children being successful in school, parents making positive life choices, hearing their descriptions of the life changing services and support provided by CASA.
Ways to make it better!
- If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… Continue and expand the work being done on the prevention side, especially the Peacemakers, who work with schools to teach kids better ways to cope with anger problem solving.
I was a Professional with expertise in this field & I work as CASA's Finance Director

CASA is an organization that is very true to its vision and mission. We have great volunteers serving on the board and committees. It is inspiring to work in this environment and with so many talented people. See more at www.casa-stpete.org.
The Great!
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the empowerment model used with clients and staff, and the many talented people that help provide valuable services.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... passionate about improving lifes of people affected by domestic violence.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... start plans for a new and larger shelter or establish an endowment to fund future operating cost.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... funding for a new shelter and ongoing programs. Grant funding has many restrictions and we continue to need community and donor support. The community has needs for more beds in the shelter to help individuals and families affected by domestic violence.
