NAMI helps families and individuals coping with mental illness. The staff is dedicated and hardworking. My family benefited greatly from the Family-to-Family class and the support groups.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... the way my family communicate with each other.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... meeting other family members and the volunteers who run the programs.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... dedicated, knowledgeable, and very helpful.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... really make a difference in the lives of "consumers" and families in Montgomery County.
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... some of the materials were updated, but I understand that the National organization has to provide those updates.
- If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… seek out more volunteers to help expand the programs.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... lack of funding.
- One thing I'd also say is that... Family-to-Family is worth taking.
