Mission
Art-Reach enriches lives by connecting underserved audiences with cultural experiences so that they may enjoy and benefit from the transformative powers of the arts. We serve as an anchor institution in the Philadelphia community that is commonly regarded as the go-to resource for improving the accessibility of the cultural community and for connecting the cultural and human-service communities.
Founded in 1986, Art-Reach is the only organization in the Philadelphia region solely devoted to increasing cultural participation among all traditionally underserved audiences. We are a recognized leader in the field of cultural accessibility, serving over 17,000 people a year.

Art-Reach provides arts and cultural experiences to traditionally underserved audiences of all ages - individuals with economic disadvantages and/or disabilities.
Results to date:
Over the past 23 years, Art-Reach has distributed over 213,000 donated and discounted tickets to people who would otherwise not have had the opportunity to experience the arts. Working with over 150 cultural organizations enables those we serve to experience theater and visit museums, gardens and historical sites across the region.
In addition, Art-Reach has a roster of over 50 artists who reflect all types of performing and visual arts specialties and a diverse range of cultural and ethnic traditions, who travel to human services agencies for on-site performances. Since 2000, Art-Reach has coordinated over 2,300 on-site performances, with an average of 16 events per month.

Obstacles:
Art-Reach member agencies rely on our efforts to provide them with affordable and personalized arts programming. Moreover, in the current economic climate, as arts organizations struggle with their own financial shortfalls, they will focus on their core artistic missions and scale back on their own education and outreach efforts. As a result, they will, more than ever, rely on Art-Reach to help them reach underserved audiences.
With 3 hours a volunteer can: Serve as a guide for a member group of underserved individuals attending a live performance; Help with check-in and photography at a special event; or Perform data entry, filing, or other administrative tasks that help keep Art-Reach running smoothly.
What your donation will allow us to do:
Donations enable Art-Reach to provide extremely low-cost tickets to underserved groups for live arts events or museums and historical sites; to bring artists directly into agency facilities for those who are unable to travel to a cultural venue; to arrange educational experiences to allow audiences to more fully enjoy and understand different types of art; and to continue to advocate for access to the arts for everyone!
Your donation of $20 enables us to:
Provide theater tickets for a group of 20 children from an underserved school, most of whom have never seen a live production.
Your donation of $350 enables us to:
Bring a group of jazz musicians into an elder-care facility for a holiday party, so that residents who are unable to travel can enjoy the music while they visit with their friends and family.
