My two daughters take music lessons at JLMS. They enjoy the lessons and the teaching staff. I have also experienced JLMS inside the schools as a classroom teacher. (Review submitted by GreatNonprofits staff member on behalf of the reviewer).
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... Supporting young musicians with scholarships.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... learning how long many students have remained with JLMS over the years. I enjoy seeing how my kids and others progress. JLMS also encourages collaborations among students.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... sensitive, helpful, encouraging
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... teach music to an underprivileged community.
Ways to make it better!
- If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… continue to stress the history/importance of music to the community.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... being accepted in community schools over other programs/organizations.
